Creation Care Interest Meeting
Of the 100 largest cities in America, Durham ranks 75th in access to fresh produce. Between 40% and 60% of Durhamites must travel over one mile to receive fresh food. Food scarcity compounds food insecurity. An issue that is a far cry from the Triangle's roots in agriculture. Christ Central explored this ministry as a means to partner with city efforts to address this need. During our test run, the two gardens planted by Christ Central were able to grow nearly 100 pounds of crops for consumption. As a church, we can accomplish much more. This will be our first Spring practicing this ministry in full. If gardening, feeding others, and Christian fellowship are your jam, please come to our interest event!
