Why 4th and 5th Grade?

Our heart in starting a separate youth group for our 4th and 5th graders was two-fold. First, we wanted to create a space for the large number of students we had in this age group. When we started our youth program, 4th and 5th graders were a bulk of the population. Second, we fully believe that 4th and 5th graders are entering an important age where they are ready for a separate group setting tailored to their needs. We are so excited for what the Lord is doing here!

What can I expect?

Central Youth for 4th and 5th Graders meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Christ Central. You can find us in “The Commons,” which is through the ramp door and to the left!

When your student shows up on a Wednesday night, they can expect to connect with students and leaders, eat pizza, play games, worship, and learn about Jesus! This fall, our curriculum focuses on these topics:

  • The Life of Paul

  • Romans

  • The Exodus

Our time begins with large group and ends with small group separated by grade and gender. There are 8-20 kids per small group and two leaders in each. There’s no need to sign your student up ahead of time, but if you do have any questions, please feel free to email our 4th & 5th Grade Coordinator, Grayson Reese, below!
