What is Educational Partnership?
Educational Partnership seeks to be a blessing to Durham by engaging educational inequity through direct relief efforts, congregational equipping, and partnership with other education organizations. This coming year, Educational Partnership envisions working closely with our partner school, C. C. Spaulding, as they embrace some significant changes; continuing to organize and grow the Love Your Neighbor events; expanding the reach of the EP Teacher Fund; and supporting grassroots school groups within the church body. If you are interested in participating further in this ministry, please sign up under “Serve” on our website! Or register to attend our upcoming Love Your Neighbor event on September 13, 2024!
Ongoing and Upcoming Opportunities
Christ Central is excited to welcome back David Montague of MTR for our next Love Your Neighbor event. David will be walking us through the history of education in America, its current state, and the Christian response to that. This event is for ALL -- all stakeholders, from all churches, attending all school contexts. Come learn with us! Dinner will be provided, and there will be a limited number of childcare spots available first-come-first-serve. Sign up using the link below!
Our Partner Schools
C.C. Spaulding
C.C. Spaulding Elementary School is a part of Durham Public Schools and serves students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, located in the Hayti neighborhood. CCS has about 400 students and 70 staff/teachers. CCS also qualifies for Title 1 Funding. We have partnered with CCS for several years through school supply and holiday meal drives, beautification efforts, volunteering, and teacher encouragement.
